Today is throat chakra day. Vishuddha, the throat chakra, acts as a transition point between the higher and lower chakras. When energy descends from our higher chakras, the throat chakra transforms the energy to make it more functional for the more dense chakras. The element Ether is the unification of all the elements and transcends all space, time, and boundaries. Like Ether, this chakra has an expansive quality and helps us to raise our consciousness. The Vishuddha chakra is also our space of communication and truth.


Location: Base of throat

Color: Blue

Element: Ether/Space

Functionality: communication, self expression, use of will, speaking your truth, metabolism, ear, nose, and throat functions.

Signs of dysfunction: poor listening skill, speaking too much or too loudly(boisterous), speaking too little or too softly(shy), unable to express oneself, fear of speaking one's truth, cowardice, ear, throat or thyroid problems.

Mantra: HAM (in keynote G)

To bring balance to the Vishuddha chakra, repeat the mantra, HAM, aloud until you feel the connection of the sound to the chakra. Then sit in silence for a few minutes. After a few moments of silent begin to chant the mantra once again. Doing this exercise will help balance the verbal and nonverbal attributes of the throat chakra.

Today, when I woke up, I took a walk outside. There was something empowering about feeling the chill of the wind ebrace me. It was like receiving a hug from nature!

Today is the fourth day of my reiki purging process which means we are up to our heart chakra today.

Anahata (Heart Chakra)

Anahata, the heart chakra, is the space where we relate our emotions to others and experience love. Love is pure Divine connection. The heart chakra connects the physical world with the spiritual world which is why it resides in the center of the seven chakra centers. In this chakra we connect to others and the Divine nature of all things.

Meaning: ‘Singular sound’ (harmony)

Location: Heart/Center of chest

Color: Green (or pink)

Element: Air

Functionality: Matters of the heart, bronchial tubes, lungs, immune system, etc.

Signs of dysfunction: Jealousy, depression, prejudice, fear of intimacy, control issues in relationships, heart problems, immunity issues, lung or breast problems.

Mantra:  YAM

To bring your Anahata chakra into balance, try to increase the amount of love that flows through your life, especially self love. Breathe deeply and experience the wonders of the Universe. While sitting recite the mantra YAM aloud. Once you feel the vibration of the sound in your chest, imagine a green or pink spark at the center of your chest. Feed that spark with loving energy. Know what it’s like to feel loved, to love yourself. If there are any blockages or impurities in this chakra, acknowledge them and release them. Fill the space they once occupied with love. Trust in love and know that it is an infinite resource.
 
Remember to spend a few minutes getting acquainted with the energy of your chakra centers. Keeping them in balance helps you maintain harmony winthin Body, Mind, Spirit!

Today is day three of our chakra journey. The third Chakra is called Manipura

Manipura Chakra

• Location: Solar plexus/navel

• Color: Yellow

• Element: Fire

• Functionality: Power, self esteem, responsibility, transferring of energy, relationships, etc.

• Characteristics of an imbalanced solar plexus chakra: Arrogant, hyperactive, sluggish, unreliable,  eating disorders, arthritis, power struggles, etc.

• Mantra: RAM

The solar plexus chakra is one that you should take extra care to keep in balance. This chakra is like our energy storehouse. It transfers energy to the needed places in our bodies. Not only that, but it also acts as a link to those around us which means that the energy of your solar chakra can bedepleted or thrown off balance by those around you. Ever known someone who always seem to make you tired after a visit?

To balance your Manipura, sit quietly, repeat the mantra a few times aloud, and imagine a flaming golden sun at the center of your navel. Pay close attention to what it looks like. Is it small? Is it raging out of control? If it's small, feed it with loving energy and watch it grow. If it's raging, allow the energy to flow through your enire body. Everytime you exhale, imagine a little bit of this flame escaping. Continue this exercise until your chakra has come into complete balance.

Chakra Energy...

Yesterday I went for my reiki level II attunement!!!!!! It was beautiful! The amount of energy that poured through us was amazing and the girls from the class are such ambient beings. After a reiki attunement, you begin a 21 day purging process. This process works it’s way up through your chakra centers beginning in your root chakra on the first day and moves up through the remaining six chakras each day until it reaches the crown chakra and starts at the beginning until the course has run itself three times. In case you’re unfamiliar with chakras….
We have seven main energy centers that are vertically aligned in our bodies, the base chakra being at the pelvic floor and the crown chakra at the top of the head. Each chakra has its own unique function and when one or more of these chakras are unbalanced, they affect the functionality of our physical and emotional states.

I’d like for you all to join me in this healing/purging journey through the chakras. This week we will explore each chakra, their functions, and ways that we can bring each one into balance. So your *mission of the week* is to spend at least five minutes a day working with your chakras and getting familiar with their energy. Since this process began yesterday, today we’ll cover two chakras beginning with the first chakra:

Muladhara (root chakra)

• Location: tailbone/bottom of spine

• Color: Red

• Element: Earth

• Functionality: Survival, stability, grounding, and material security. The foundation from which we will ourselves to live.

• Characteristics of an imbalanced root chakra: Greed, anxiety, too much aggression, laziness, fatigue,

obesity, diarrhea or constipation, and back problems.

• Mantra: LAM

To balance the root chakra, sit for a few minutes and repeat the mantra aloud while imagining a glowing red ball at the bottom of your tailbone. Feel that spark of life. Beam love into that red ball and let it know that you are grateful to it for serving it’s purpose and trying to please you. If you have any imbalances or blockages in this chakra, acknowledge them and imagine them being purged from your chakra center. Giving loving energy to your chakras charges them in a positive way. After all, chakras are energy.

Svadhishthana (sacral chakra)

• Location: Pelvis area

• Color: Orange

• Element: Water

• Functionality: Sexuality, creativity, desires

• Characteristics of an imbalanced sacral chakra: Frigidity, too much sexual aggression, addiction, radical or irrational behavior, infertility, polarity imbalances, and poor circulation.

• Mantra: VAM

To balance the sacral chakra, repeat the mantra, VAM, while imagining a ball of raging orange energy pulsating at your pelvic area. Feel it’s warmth. Beam love into the orange ball and give it gratitude for serving it’s purpose and trying to please you. If this chakra is imbalanced or blocked, set the intention of removing all negativity from the chakras center. Send love and light to your chakra to create a positive energy.

Today, try spending a few minutes to get acquainted with your chakra energies!!!!!

Blessings in Disguise

In Way of The Peaceful Warrior, (one of my favorite books!) Dan Milman shares a story about an old man and his son. The story goes something like this:

An old man and his son worked a small farm, with only one horse to pull the plow. One day, the horse ran away.
"How terrible," sympathized the neighbors. "What bad luck."
"Who knows whether it is bad luck or good luck," the farmer replied.
A week later, the horse returned from the mountains, leading five wild mares into the barn.
"What wonderful luck!" said the neighbors.
"Good luck? Bad luck? Who knows?” answered the old man.
The next day, the son, trying to tame one of the horses, fell and broke his leg.
"How terrible. What bad luck!"
"Bad luck? Good luck? Who knows?"
The army came to all the farms to take the young men for war, but the farmer's son was of no use to them, so he was spared.
"Good luck? Bad luck?"

I wanted to share this story with you because your *mission of the week* was to keep a log of your blessings and strive to live a life abundant in gratitude. When things happen in our lives that seem unfortunate, it may be for our Highest good and a blessing could unfold from the very thing that gave us grief. We are loved and safe in Divine arms. So try to view everything in life as a lesson and a blessing: even the hardships.

Be Yourself...

Yesterday, I went to a psychic development class at Awakened Reiki Yoga and had some profound experiences. I've always been quite the little 'intuitive', but I couldn't help but notice how much easier it was for me to tap into those abilities while I was in a space where I felt no one would judge me for allowing myself to commune with the Divine in that way. Then I got to thinking about how fear controls our lives without us even knowing it. Fear doesn't have to be brought on by an immediate threat, sometimes we simply fear being ourselves because we want to be loved and accepted. Well, for the record, you are perfect. You can be who you want and I'll love you anyway! (yes, even if you have pink hair and frilly knickers!!!)

Gratitude...

A few weeks ago I woke up one morning with a heart overflowing with gratitude. (the morning I came up with concept of The Enlightener of course!) I was completely elated with life! I felt as if all of my wishes for this life had come true and I was in a state of pure bliss. I can’t remember my dream from the night before, but maybe that had something to do with it. Once the initial feeling wore off, I got to thinking…what if every waking moment was like that? What if I was always grateful for where I am now? What if I could wake up every morning and be so blissed by the blessings I have that I didn’t notice the things that I don’t have. Then I had the greatest revelation….I CAN!!! Why not live each moment ecstatically? So every day before I go to bed, I write down a list of all the wonderful things I experienced throughout my day, no matter how small. That may seem to be tedious, but what I’ve noticed is that day by day, things get better and better and I attract more positivity into my life because I focus on more positivity.
I’d like to invite you to join me in this. Every night, make a list of at least three things that made your day brighter. You’ll begin to consciously notice every small miracle in life and by doing so, you’ll create a positive energy that affects every aspect of your life in a positive manner. That is your *mission of the week*. Take this small action to create a life abundant in gratitude.

Greetings to you all. I am happy to announce that the Revolution has begun! I want to thank you soooo much for joining me in creating something that can positively affect all of our lives. I am extremely excited.  Let me tell you a little about myself. My name is Nateah. I am currently making my twenty fourth journey around the sun. I am a soul on a quest for truth and wisdom and want to share my experience with everyone in hope that I can make even the smallest difference to the world. I am a Mother, a healer, a visionary, and most importantly, I am a lover of all humanity.
